New Manager

Euan Graham has been appointed Whitburn's new manager.

He will be assisted by former Falkirk Juniors manager, Karl Lejman.

Euan has returned some good results since standing in as caretaker. Let's hope he can continue the progress already made.

Scottish Junior Cup 3rd round draw

Whitburn v Benburb

Tie to be played on Saturday 25th November 2017

kick off 1.45pm

This is the second time Whitburn and Benburb have met in the Scottish Cup, and the previous occasion will no doubt bring back memories of better times for many Whitburn supporters. That was in the semi final of season 1999-2000, Whitburn winning 3-2 on penalty kicks after a Colin L Campbell goal earned Whitburn a 1-1 draw in normal time at Airdrie's Excelsior Shyberry Stadium. Whitburn went on to lift the trophy, beating Johnstone Burgh in the Final.

Like Whitburn, Benburb are not flying as high as they were in 2000, but they sit top of the Central District First Division with 8 wins from 10 games, so this will be a tough tie. They received a bye in the first round of this season's competition, and beat Craigroyston 3-2 in the second round at their home ground, New Tinto Park in Govan.
