Goals from Keith Jardine, Colin Campbell and a Paul Taylor double ensured Whitburn made no mistake in this replay. They went on to reach the final where they lost to Hill o' Beath.

 

Season 2000-01 (September 00) Fife and Lothians cup 1st round 

Whitburn 4 Glenrothes 3 after extra time (3-3 at 90 minutes)

Twice behind by two goals, Whitburn staged a second half fightback to take the tie to extra time. Hutchison scored a hat-trick for Glenrothes, with a double from Stuart Gilmour and a last minute equaliser from Stevie Gallen counting for Whitburn. John Sokoluk scored the winner in extra time. Glenrothes had two men ordered off.

Whitburn went on to reach the final where they lost to Linlithgow.

A hat-trick from Colin Strickland and singles from Stevie Rixon and Peter Lynch gave Whitburn a comfortable passage into the next round. Match report

A goal in the final minute gave Glenrothes a half time lead. This was cancelled out by a headed equaliser from Scott Macdonald with 15 minutes remaining, his first and only goal for the club. Match report

 

Season 2007-08 (8th September 2007) East Superleague Glenrothes 0 Whitburn 1

A second half own goal by Paul McBride gives Whitburn victory in a close game. The kick off had been delayed by an hour due to traffic jams at the Forth bridge.

Season 2007-08 (1st March 2008) East Superleague Whitburn 6 Glenrothes 2

A double from Andy Roberts, goals from Iain Ramage, Alan Mooney, Alex Lurinsky and an o.g. from stand-in keeper Ewing give Whitburn a comprehensive win over 9 man Glenrothes, the visitors having keeper Guppy and full back Gibson sent off in the first half. Ewing (when he was still playing outfield) and Benny Andrew were the Glenrothes scorers.

Season 2008-09 (30th August 2008) East Superleague Whitburn 2 Glenrothes 2

Glenrothes raced into an early two goal lead with a double from Greg Meikle before goals from Chris Dolan on the stroke of half time and Scott Murphy in the second half salvaged a draw for Whitburn. Kevin Donnelly of Whitburn and Grant Cunningham of Glenrothes were sent off near the end.

The final league game of the season saw Whitburn run out winners to end up fourth in the league after a season fighting relegation. Colin Strickland scored both the goals in the final 4 minutes. David McGurk took over in goals from Stewart Walker who was injured early in the second half.

Season 2009-10 (24th October 2009) East Superleague Whitburn 4 Glenrothes 1

Three late goals for Whitburn put a false reflection on the scoreline. Glenrothes deserved to take something from the game, but the introduction of Gormley who set up the equaliser seconds after taking to the field, then McSween who set up two goals and scored one, turned the game in Whitburn's favour. Colin Strickland scored a second half hat trick after Glenrothes had taken the lead in the first half through Sean Simpson.

Season 2009-10 (28th November 2009) Scottish Cup 3rd round 

Glenrothes 3 Whitburn 1

Whitburn produced a dismal display to make yet another early exit from the main cup competition of the season. Glenrothes led 2-0 at half time with goals from Gregg Meikle and Stephan Fortune. Gregg Meikle made it 3-0 in the second half before Steven Weir added a late consolation for Whitburn.
