RANGER
Individuals' names
Charli Faux (vocals) and Sam Hartley (guitar & vocals)
Brief Biography.
We have been mates since meeting through mutual friends in 2001.
We spent our lunch breaks all that summer in Hyde Park bonding
over our equally inane day jobs (although at least Sam's had the
benefit of free beer) and our love of music. After travelling
round Mexico for a month together in 2001 with Sam's guitar along
for the ride and picking up a Power Rangers beach towel along
the way, we realised we had the potential to make some great music
together. It wasn't til late 2002 that we finally started working
on our sound and Ranger was born.
Musical style/description/quotes.
This is a really hard one cos we're only just fully getting to
grips with songwriting. We have definitely got our own sound but
its not something we actually aim for when writing. Comparisons
people have made so far include Lamb and Mazzy Star… which will
do for now!
Forthcoming news/plans.
ore dates to be confirmed for the summer but we are trying to
take a bit of a break to work on some new material over the next
month or so.
Recordings made/available. (how to get
them)
are hoping to have a live CD available in July. If you would be
interested in getting your hands on one, please email us at Ranger@rangerbase.co.uk
and we will put you on the waiting list.
