Natz, Toshi, Drew and Mr Rick James
Brief Biography.
Natz was born in North London and sang with her sisters when she
was young. She attended church where she not only sang but also
drummed and played the keyboard. Her Dad taught her the bass guitar.
Natz is SoulCyde's lead vocalist.
Toshi was born in Osaka, Japan and attended school in the UK.
He decided to play the guitar, on joining the school band. He
has played with a hip hop band, Def Tex and funk with Dwee Dop.
Along the way, Toshi played bass, drums and keyboard (a little!).
Toshi is SoulCyde's lead guitarist.
Drew was born in South London and played piano, bass guitar and
keyboard when he was young but learnt to play the drums after
his brother gave him his first set of drumsticks. He has played
for several bands with different musical styles, including hip
hop with Psychic Phenomena, rock, jazz, soul and gospel with Souled
Out and Ecclesia. Drew is SoulCyde's drummer.
Mr Rick James was born in Trinidad and taught himself to play
the bass guitar, after copying his Mum playing the guitar. He
played with the steel pan band at school and whilst at church,
the keyboard and drums. He also taught himself to play the saxophone.
He plays the bass guitar and saxophone in SoulCyde.
