BKS/Northeast                        Help Required

Return to Home Page

Hi Biggles,

Although I see your site concentrates on BKS, I was wondering if you may be able to help with a query about North East.

I’m involved with the Save the Trident group (www.savethetrident.org) and was a founder member of the Trident Preservation Society. Save the Trident is in the process of restoring a Trident 1C (G-ARPO) at the North East Aircraft Museum near Newcastle, and although PO didn’t fly with BKS/Northeast (that being 1Es G-AVYB/C/D) it’s been decided that she’ll be restored in to the yellow NorthEast livery.

We want to restore the cabin to how she was in Northeast days – would you, or any of your contacts, have any photos (preferably colour) of what the NorthEast interior looked like? Indeed, were the interiors of the Tridents updated when BKS became NorthEast?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and we’d also acknowledge it in a “roll of hour” that will be on the aircraft once complete.

 regards,

Graeme Catnach O.N. B.Eng. (Hons.) C.Eng. MRAeS
