Internet this morning I found John Newby former Station
Mangager LHR/Sales Manager London and he alerted me to the website.
Talk about old times. Several names came up and I've sat here trying
to remember all the good times as well as the bad.
I did two stints
with BKS/Northeast. The first as Reservations Supervisor London,
Building 224 Northside (1963/5) and again as Passenger Services
Officer LHR, (1967/70) initially Terminal 2 Domestic Annex, then
Terminal 1, (early shift on the day it opened, the day that British
Eagle went bust) followed by a year or so with London Sales based at
Hodford House before all four of us salesmen (Tony McHale, Paddy
Blake, Bernie Harris and I) were transferred as of the next day
to BEA. Two years later it was British Airways. For the next few
months as a Salesman whenever I said 'we' I had to remember who 'we'
were. I'd worked for 4 airlines in 4 years and had only applied for
