INNOVATION: THEME 2 Recognising Management Skills Related to Innovation: The Management of Innovation Award 2.1 This award would serve several purposes:
In order to ensure that the award reflected a long term commitment towards the management of innovation, it could consist of an initial study component plus an innovation managers log book which would need to be maintained for say three years. The log book would record points earned by attending conferences, seminars, short courses on innovation etc. 2.2 Minimising study time The study component could dovetail into existing MBA courses for management, to keep the amount of additional studying to a minimum. 2.3 Funding the Management of Innovation Award The award could be funded by registration, tuition and examination fees, as for other awards. 2.4 What should be taught on the Management of Innovation programme?
