Featured below is my oldest newspaper cutting I have taken from the Liverpool Echo & Evening express it dates from Jan 2nd & is around about 1960 but not to sure of that if anyone does know the year please  E Mail me. 

Ellesmere Port v Runcorn at the time was obviously fairly big news & was the big local derby at that time an attendance of 4,100 was a regular thing at that time what price that now !!!  I think the Williams it refers to was indeed John Williams who became Runcorns manager ........

I came across this cutting stapled to the back of a door in the top locks warehouse I used to work in for Manweb which is now the auto repair shop, It was worth keeping for all these years!!!
