Who will use the Youth Centre?

1st Blackmore Scout Group
Scouts, Cubs, Beavers all require a permanent home with plenty of storage space.
The North Brentwood Explorer Scout unit also require a meeting place

Local Blackmore Players
for plays involving Children, the centre will provide adequate changing areas
for young people, previously unavailable in the Village Hall Complex.

The Priory Church of St Laurence
will use the Centre on Sunday's during term time for two of their children's groups
Climbers for aged 5 - 8's and Explorers, for 8 - 11's.
These groups were some of the original users of the old school building,
and the current leaders and children will greatly appreciate being able to use the new facilities
for their various activities. In addition the 12+ Sunday evening youth group would be able to
expand their activities when the new centre becomes available.

FRIDAY CLUB – 70 + children (7-10 years) used to use the old school building
before the building became unsafe and put up for redevelopment.
The Club currently has no home, and is waiting for the new Centre to be built.FRIDAY CLUB PLUS – Will be revived – providing a Friday Club environment for the
older 10+ children, a natural progression from Friday Club – The style of Friday Cub Plus
is still to be formalised, and will involve the young people in the discussions on the focus of their Club.

teams the new build will also incorporate new extended changing room facilities
for the Football Clubs and MUGA facilities.
These are the existing groups within our area which will use the facilities from the start,
but the Project will also allow new Clubs / Groups / Meetings to be started.
The building will be there, just the imagination and the ambition of the local community is
all it will take to start an after school club, a computer club, a dance group,
a chess club, a craft group, a. . . . . . . . . . . . .
