The Parish Council of Blackmore, |

This council is the most local level of government for residents in the parish of Blackmore, Hook End and Wyatts Green. It deals with some specific local issues, and is responsible for a small amount of local rates (about £38 for a band D house). Its members (5 from Blackmore Ward, and 8 from Hook End and Wyatts Green Ward, in proportion to their population) are voluntary, unpaid and non-political. It is responsible for
- Recreation areas and maintenance of play equipment
- The village green, the ponds, Mill Lane common and Service Lane
- Grass cutting
- The parish minibus
- Three football pitches
- The provision of skips for bulky waste
It is the Custodian Trustee of the Village Hall (but not responsible for its day-to-day management), and gives support to the Tipps Cross Remembrance Hall.
It represents residents' interests on all planning proposals in the Parish.
