Plots 1, 2 and 3, Chelmsford Road

About 7 years ago, two mobile homes were installed in a field bordering the Chelmsford Road . A third was installed a little later. An enforcement order was served, and several appeals rejected, but the situation remains unresolved. The Parish Council believes that all residents should be subject the same planning rules, and that the removal of such unauthorised developments in the Green Belt should be enforced. It is pressing Brentwood Council to resolve the issue.

The current situation is that each plot is subject to a valid enforcement notice, some of the occupiers have previously been prosecuted for non-compliance with the notices. The cases in respect of all three plots are subject to interdepartmental actions and being dealt with under both planning and housing powers and with regard to the Human Rights Act and the personal circumstances of the occupiers. The details of these are treated in confidence by the Council in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the relevant regulations.

Brentwood Planning Department state that no further enforcement notices are required at this time in respect of all three sites as all the necessary notices are already in place.
