Speeding vehicles in the village

Mopeds are riding at excessive speed in and through the village. Learners are carrying pillion passengers, who are not wearing crash helmets. Quad bikes are also becoming a nuisance for some parishioners, with high noise levels and no registration numbers. The Community Police Officer would welcome reports from residents, with registration numbers if known.

A significant number of cars and vans entering the village exceed the 30 mph speed limit, particularly those entering from Nine Ashes, past the Primary School, and from Brentwood . The Police have promised to install speed strips, to establish the extent of speeding.
