This is the home page of the web site for the Wessex Regional Group of the
Arab Horse Society in UK.
Members of this Wessex Group own, breed, ride and show Arabian horses
(including in-hand) as well as meeting and partaking of other more social
activities.
The Wessex site has been created to keep everyone better informed about
Wessex Group events and member establishments in between the regular
Newsletter mailings.
The site is updated continually and the date of latest update is shown
across the top of each page for each of the dozen main subject areas:
- Links to the Arab Horse Society (AHS) web site and those of other Regional
Groups associated with arabians and the AHS within the UK.
- Map of Wessex Region showing location of member studs, showgrounds, etc,
and providing links to web sites of many of those establishments
listed in the directory.
- Group Administration including responsibilities and contact details for
committee members.
- Details of group Show competitions planned for the next 12 months,
including date/location/judges/directions, etc.
- Results of group Show competitions from previous 12 months,
including photographs and trophy details.
These are divided by discipline - ridden, in-hand, jumping, dressage, etc.
This section also contains the results of the High Point and Performance
awards.
- Details/Reports of other non-show Regional Group events such as Seminars,
Pleasure Rides, Stud Visits, etc.
- Details/Reports of group social events such as AGM, BBQ, Dinner, etc.
- Information by Interest Category such as Breeding, Dressage, Endurance,
Instruction, Jumping, Marathon, Performance, Racing, Showing, Welfare,
Western, etc.
- Group Sales List of mature arabian stallions, mares, geldings,
as well as colt and filly foals and youngstock.
The sales list is split into separate sections for Purebred, Anglo
and Partbred Arabs and is not restricted to Arab horses which are
located within the Wessex Region.
- Miscellaneous External Links to many other related sites
which are thought to be of potential interest to members.
- Calendar of Events - not just those organised by the Wessex Group but
also including those of other Regional Groups as well as
National/International events.
- Downloads of documents including Membership Application and Show
Schedules/Entry Forms.
There is also an offer to provide any member with their own web site within
the Wessex site if they do not have one already.
Even members without computers can get their stud/stable details presented
to a world-wide audience.
