Born 1969 after most of the best Spaghetti Westerns were made.
Like many, my first taste of the genre was the 'Dollars Trilogy' and for years I had no idea of the extent of the films made - I knew of only seven or eight Spaghetti Westerns. It was while searching a bookshop for titles on Sergio Leone that I came across Thomas Weisser's tome "Spaghetti Westerns - the Good, the Bad and the Violent". This lists over five hundred of the movies - a real eye-opener for me!
That was about ten years ago and I've been collecting Spaghetti Western movies and memorabilia ever since.
Initially it was extremely difficult to find many of the titles, but now, thanks to the internet, the films are much more accessible, meaning that my collection has really taken off over recent years. The introduction of the DVD format has also sparked new interest in the genre, and for the first time many of the films are commercially available in their full widescreen glory. I would love to see some of these films on the big screen - I was fortunate to catch showings of 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' and 'Once Upon a Time in the West' at the Leed's Film Festival several years ago.
Although my major passion is for Spaghetti Westerns, I also collect the films of Mario Bava, Dario Argento and some Giallos. I enjoy the movies of Akira Kurosawa and believe that Asia is currently producing some of the best cinema.
I currently live in Leeds, England, with my girlfriend Helen, where I work as an engineer in the Oil Industry. I play the electric guitar and frequently hack my way around a golf course with as much dignity as I can muster.

And I'm always on the look out for fellow collectors of Italian cult movies to trade tapes with (particularly in the UK). I'm afraid I do not sell copies - I trade tape for tape only.
