Born: 22 February 1889, Donawitz, Austria.
Now here is a real character.
Born back in the days when the West was still wild, he was seventy-five when he appeared as Piripero the coffin-maker in 'A Fistful of Dollars'.
He'd had a long acting career up to this point and unfortunately his few Spaghetti Western roles were to be among his last.
But he left us one of the funniest Spaghetti Western moments as the Old Prophet in 'For a Few Dollars More' who has refused to sell up to the railroad and is driven crazy "because of trains. Because of the damn trains, damn 'em".Spaghetti credentials:
Fistful of Dollars (1964)
Black Eagle of Sante Fe (1964)
For a Few Dollars More (1965)
