Nephew of Admiral "Bull" Halsey, commander of the Pacific Allied naval forces during WWII.

Brett Halsey's career started in Hollywood in a multitude of B-movies and a handful of roles in higher profile productions such as 'Return of the Fly', starring opposite Vincent Price, and 'Return to Peyton Place'.

In the sixties, with his career seemingly going nowhere, he followed in the footsteps of countless other American actors to build a career in Europe where his work included several Western All'Italiana. His most memorable role in this respect is as Bill Kiowa in 'Today It's Me ... Tomorrow You'.

He regularly made appearances in American T.V. shows such as 'Fantasy Island', 'Buck Rogers', 'Hart to Hart', 'Charlies Angels', 'The Dukes of Hazard' etc. etc. and was Dr. Adam Streeter in 'General Hospital'. He also appears in 'The Godfather: Part III'.

He was briefly married to Bond girl Luciana Paluzzi.
