John Ireland

Born: 30 January 1914, Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada

John Ireland appeared as a heavy in several prominent Hollywood westerns including 'My Darling Clementine', 'Red River' and 'Gunfight at the O.K. Corral'.

He travelled to Italy to appear in 'Spartacus' and from the late sixties onwards, like so many other American actors, got sucked into the Italian movie phenomenon.

His Spaghetti Western roles include General Santillana in Sergio Sollimas' 'Run Man Run', Sheriff Bill Ramson in the snow shrouded 'Cost of Dying' and Cooper, the bandit-turned-good-guy, in 'Hate for Hate'.

He worked incessantly throughout his career and made many T.V. appearances in shows such as 'Rawhide', 'Bonanza', 'Mission Impossible', 'Hawaii Five-O', 'Little House on the Prairie', 'Quincy' and 'Airwolf'.
