Al Muloch

Born: 30 June 1925, Canada.
Died: 1968, Gaudix, Spain.

Al Muloch had one of those great rugged faces that Leone used to great advantage. It is his visage that fills the screen in the opening shot from 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'. Later in the movie he talks when he should shoot.

He also appeared in 'Once Upon a Time in the West', with Jack Elam and Woody Strode, as one of the three gunmen that wait for Harmonica at the train station. This was to be his last film - he commited suicide on location, by jumping from a hotel window still wearing the costume from the movie.
