As the dishonest town boss, the manipulative landowner or the corrupt businessman he was often behind many a dastardly deed of the Italian Wild West. A great example is as Stengel in 'Sabata'. He was prolific in all genres of cult Italian cinema, from Sword'n'Sandal epics, through Sci-Fi and Euro-Spy movies, to Giallos (including Mario Bava's genre defining films 'Evil Eye' and 'Blood and Black Lace').
