Franco Ressel

Born: 8 February 1925, Naplesm Canpania, Italy
Died: 30 April 1985, Rome, Italy

Looking like Andre Previn's evil brother, Franco Ressel was always type-cast as the slimy bad guy. As the dishonest town boss, the manipulative landowner or the corrupt businessman he was often behind many a dastardly deed of the Italian Wild West. A great example is as Stengel in 'Sabata'.

He was prolific in all genres of cult Italian cinema, from Sword'n'Sandal epics, through Sci-Fi and Euro-Spy movies, to Giallos (including Mario Bava's genre defining films 'Evil Eye' and 'Blood and Black Lace').
