Romolo Valli

Born: 7 February 1925, Reggio nell'Emilia, Italy
Died: 1 February 1980, Rome, Italy

Romolo Valli plays Dr. Villega in Sergio Leone's 'Duck You Sucker', who is haunted by his betrayal of his comrades - a key theme of the film.

He was a regular collaborator with Luchino Visconti, with roles in 'Death in Venice', 'Conversation Piece' and 'Boccaccio '70' and was Father Pirrone in the director's most acclaimed work, 'The Leopard'.

He died in a road accident just six days before his 55th birthday - a waste of a talented actor.
