March 2003 - Shower Group Weekend

After last time with the lorry getting stuck it was decided to mix it ourselves for the inner and outer parts of the concrete shower floor. However this was easier as there were no gradients to drains etc and it was also in smaller and more manageable sections.

Tony fixed the mixer - it needed a new belt - and we were away.

Arren Jamie and Sam got all the set concrete that was left on the field after the last mixer lorry dumped and we used it to infill some of the outer ring' hardcore base.

The woods are full of snowdrops in early spring. Tres beau.

We had a rite of transitions in and around the showers site - which look like a temple.

A few made handprints in the setting concrete and a few more managed somehow to walk across it in the night! The footprints above are mine - I was so in camera that I plain forgot. However I managed to sort of make good again.

The mains tap was replaced, the giant beech table now has legs, the concreting is almost complete - with just a little to finish off. Next shower weekend we can start to work on the tower, getting the floor and structures to support and roof the water tank.
