I am also diplaying work all of June at Alfreton Library, Seven

The Baslow Art Show - 23rd, 24th and 25th August in Baslow
Village Hall.
The Chesterfield Art Club will be staging its Bank Holiday Baslow
Art Show over the weekend
23rd, 24th and 25th August in Baslow Village Hall. Combine it with a
visit to Chatsworth or a trip into the Peak or just stop off for a
look and a cup of tea or coffee as you pass through Baslow morning
or evening.
Speaking for the club, Vice Chairman, John Wardle said” this venue
has always been a success for us and being holiday time it means we
have the opportunity of showing off our work to a wide audience of
visitors to the Peak District. This is our fourth Exhibition in
2008, others being at Ashover, Baslow , Edensor and Chesterfield on
the recent Medieval Market day. We are also planning a three day
show in Chesterfield in November”
This Baslow exhibition features work in Water-colour, Oils, Acrylics
and Pastel in a price range to suit all pockets. Also on show will
be the Clubs’ “Big Picture” an old master created by the club
members who all painted a small part each, a lot of fun and well
worth a look.
Admission to the exhibition is Free and Tea and Coffee will be
available it will be open from 10am to 5pm daily.
John Wardle, commented “with more and more people staying at home
for holidays, this Bank Holiday Exhibition and Sale of Paintings
should prove a good holiday attraction for all art lovers and
perhaps a chance to invest in something permanent either as a gift
or for ones own home, the club has been praised for its consistent
standard of quality art and this show is expected to further enhance
it”
