Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has
recently obtained funding from Defra to undertake a hedgerow survey
across the borough of Chesterfield. The project will be carried out
over the spring and summer. The survey will gather data on the
distribution, status and condition of hedgerows within the borough
which will then be used to inform future hedgerow conservation work.
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust are currently looking for volunteers to
help with these surveys. Full training will be given so no prior
experience is required. However, a basic knowledge of common tree,
shrub and flower species would be an advantage. Does this sound like something you'd like to get involved in? If so, please get in touch so I can provide you with further information. Any time spent either receiving the training or completing the surveys can earn you hours. We look forward to hearing from you very soon. |
