hold another
Professional
Development Day
at the
Copthorne
Hotel, Dudley, West Midlands
in April.
Entitled " Working patterns for the future" the event will use as a base the recent Home Office research paper 'Flexible working practices in the police service' , the author of which has agreed to speak.
Home Office Minister John Denham has been invited to give the keynote speech,
and a representative from Cleveland Police will give a presentation on
their experience so far in operating flexible working not previously used
within the UK.
The event will commence pm Wednesday 24th April with a
session led by BAWP President, Assistant Chief Constable Julie Spence of Thames
Valley Police.
The main body of the conference will take place on Thursday 25th April 2002.
The Professional Development Day offers excellent value at a cost to members of
£145 for 24hr delegates and £60 for day delegates.
Non members will be charged £170 and £90 respectively.
