Exercises 3
Loosening Exercise 1
While sitting on the bus or train try this. Get a good look at what is directly in front of you and slightly to the sides, normally this will be the back of another passenger's head, a window and some of the aisle. Don't try this if the passenger in front of you is holding an infant as the worry of getting socked in the face by a disintegrating ice lolly will prevent you relaxing enough to benefit from this at all.
Now close your eyes and try to SEE the scene again. This is not a memory exercise and try not to think of it as so. This is VISUALISATION..... the most powerful tool you possess (ok the second most powerful)!!!
Dont move your eyes or head at all: Just get as clear a mental picture as possible of what your eyes would be taking in if they were open. See the passenger's head in front of you. Now look to the left and right trying to see everything that is there. Mentally make a slow sweep from right to left and back again. Your mind will get confused here and think you are instructing your motor senses to move your head and eyes. Resist this completely and eventually your engine room will get the message. SEE IT, FEEL IT - MENTALLY!
With practice you will genuinely get to the stage where you can open your eyes and quite literally see no difference between your mental picture and the real deal.
At this stage you are trying to not only trying to induce an eventual oobe but to train your mind to get used seeing detailed mental images, telling it that you dont have to be looking at something to actually see it!
As soon as your mind accepts this as a FACT, you are more than half way there!
Loosening Exercise 2
As you are on the bus or train travelling to or from work, close your eyes and mentally make yourself rock from side to side, making the swing as wide as you can get it as you go on. Start small and gradually, over a period of say 5 minutes, increase the swing to where you would be physically touching passengers on either side of you if you were physically moving. DO NOT PHYSICALLY move of course. Your physical body must remain still and composed throughout. Remember, we are trying to move and loosen the REAL YOU, that curious thing that resides in the physical vehicle we call a body. Moving your body at all is a real no no! To anyone observing you, you should appear to be nothing more than the average weary traveller going home and simply resting their eyes.
What Might happen at this point?
You will float up to where you perceive the ceiling to be. Dont bother trying to open your eyes at this point as you wont be able to see anything anyway. Besides, if you could see anything, you would likely panic and be hauled back inside in an instant.
You may feel yourself being gripped at the base of the spine and being roughly pulled about from side to side. Try to be calm....the calmer you remain the more the violent swinging will subside. It's a bit like Christian's final river crossing in Pilgrim's Progress. As soon as he lost faith the river became deep and fast flowing. He soon started to drown. As soon as his faith returned, the river would be become shallow and calm and he was able to wade across easily and finally gain access to the Celestial City.
The next sensation will be of moving slowly through the air. Dont try to force it. At the merest hint of panic or impatience it will all be over. Eventually you will find yourself apparently in your room and standing somewhere near your bed. You will not be able to feel your legs or the weight of your feet on the floor. You will simply be aware of being upright. You will still have the odd feeling of being encased in concrete, being unable to move, but by continuing to relax the paralysis will pass and your vision will return at about the same time.
What you experience next will be the eeriest moment of your life.
The first time Isaw my own physical body lying in bed induced such a shock that Iflung mysely back onto it without a second thought. I was struck by the amount of fat around the neck and the slack jaw and the double chin, none of which are ever apparent upright, awake and in front of the bathroom mirror!
You dont have to be lying in bed and half asleep to condition yourself for an oobe either. Try the exercises below at regular intervals during your normal working day. Regularity is so important. The advantage of them is no-one will know what you are doing. A word of warning here: Dont do them for instance while driving a car, operating machinery or indeed in any situation which requires all or most of your concentration. Sod's law dictates that Lady luck will almost certainly grant you spectacular and unexpected success just as you are shovelling dry mix into an airport runway cement mixer or something equally catastrophic. Exercises like this have only one true purpose and that is to loosen the Astral Body from the physical body.
