The model, built straight from the box, shows a loco with later longer smokebox, cast-iron chimney, outside steam pipes, steel cab roof, curved drop front frames and outside rear sandboxes. The original round spectacle plate windows have also been plated over and ATC equipment installed.

Alternative parts to show copper-capped chimney, wooden cab roof and straight front frames are also included in the kit.
