LSWR/SR/BR Drummond L11 Mixed Traffic 4-4-0 7mm and 4mm kits

This
new kit contains alternative parts to enable construction of an accurate model
of one of Dugald Drummond’s L11, mixed traffic 4-4-0s, from their introduction
in 1903 to the last withdrawals in 1952.
The kit is highly
detailed in etched nickel silver and brass with detail castings in brass
and whitemetal. Construction of the loco ‘body’ is eased considerably
by the use of a fold up jig for the footplate.

Many alternative parts to enable construction of an
accurate model from circa 1900 to the withdrawal of the last member of the class
in 1951.
Both the original condition with narrow cabs and those rebuilt with wide cabs
are covered.
Included are two chimneys, top feed, five alternative cabs, two different bogies
a choice of round top (S4) or Belpaire (B4) boilers and the ATC equipment.
Needs a Dean 2500 gallon or Dean 3000 gallon or Churchward 3500 gallon tender

This new kit, for William Adams’ famous T3 class of express 4-4-0s, features
many alternate parts to enable models to built representing the locomotives in
their original Victorian elegance through to their final days in the 1940s.
Included
are:
Two chimneys and two smokebox doors.
Parts for the Drummond removal of the splasher beading, equalising beams,
bogie splashers and piston tail rods.
Wooden or metal cab roof.
Plain or fluted coupling rods.
The
loco kit is highly detailed in etched brass and nickel silver, with 43 detail
castings in brass and nickel silver and 13 in white metal. The loco chassis
(which can be built rigid) features full beam compensation for which the
optional hornblocks are required. To aid construction of the body a fold up
etched jig is provided.
Available,
as an extra, is a kit to construct working inside valve gear.
The
kit for the 3300 gallon tender is in etched brass with a further 28 detail
castings in brass, nickel silver and white metal. It features a compensated
chassis.
