At the November 3rd meeting , Bob Leon gave a presentation detailing the history and latest results obtained from the ongoing 'Mars Rover Missions'. It consisted of three parts. The first was a full length animation of the launch, journey, landing and deployment of the Mars Rovers 'Spirit' and Opportunity'. The second was a main discussion of the rovers findings with their implications for life and future missions. The third and final part was a display of news reports from the Internet. These gave the up-to-the-minute information about the rovers current status and discoveries.
The next meeting to be held as usual at the 'Friends Meeting House' in Granville Road, Clacton on December 1st will be hosted by David Pugh. He will be the 'Master of Ceremonies' for our Annual Astronomy Quiz Night.
