Solar Observing by Peter Meadows
Our special guest speaker at the monthly meeting held on June 7th was Solar Observer Peter Meadows . His recorded observations have been submitted to the monthly 'The Astronomer' magazine and the 'British Astronomical Association' Solar Section for many years and since 2000, he has been the 'Solar Editor' for 'The Astronomer' magazine. In his talk, he covered some solar facts, observing safety measures, the consequences of solar activity, Sun spots, the solar cycle and many other solar related phenomena. The audience appreciated the opportunity to listen and discuss these matters with an aknowledged expert in this field.
