For the November 2nd meeting we were to have a special guest speaker - Dr Kevin Marshall - Sadly, he had to cancel due to illness. Fortunately, the committee were given enough time to prepare an alternative program for the evening. We were able to present a DVD documentary on the subject of the 'Space Race'. The remaining time was devoted to our usual 'Sky at Night' overview and an additional short review on how to record events during a meteor shower by our secretary David Pugh.
The next meeting will be held as usual at the 'Friends Meeting House' in Granville Road, Clacton on December 7th 2006. David Pugh will be our genial host for the CDAA's Annual Christmas Quiz.
