Lightpointer.
A rechargeable unit enabling the client
to indicate positions and communicate.

The Lightpointer is a compact rechargeable unit; complete with a separate mains powered charger. The Lightpointer shines a patch of red light that is in focus for approximately 2 meters.

It is a mere 70 grams (2.5ozs) in weight and its small dimensions 50mm x 28 mm x 75mm long (2" x 1" x 3") make it ideal for attaching to a headband to form a headpointer. A self- adhesive Velcro loop patch is supplied, to attach to the side of the lightpointer, together with a matching Velcro hook pad to attach to the headband or other suitable mounting, such as a sports sweatband.

A red light-emitting diode provides a safe light source, avoiding the use of a laser, and creates a focussed pointer for indoor use. At very close range the image is some 15mm square, changing to circular as the distances increase, giving a 20mm diameter spot at the usual working distance of around one meter.

The charger will fully charge the integral batteries overnight, requiring about 8 hours if fully discharged. Fully charged cells will give up to six hours use depending on the condition and age of the batteries. Battery life being in excess of 700 charge cycles, is around two years.
