  COMING UP

Tutbury Institute, Tutbury   20 June 2009
Another new venue for us. Tickets are available for the Tutbury gig by calling 01283 812078 after 7pm, non member price is a fiver. We are onstage at around 9.15 but doors open at 7pm.

Newmount Church Hall, Littleover, Derby   Date to be rescheduled 2009
This is part of a community music project to inspire youngsters to form bands and perform live. Judging from the explosion of musicians wanted adverts seen in the local music shops recently its already having an effect. We'll be showing them how it's done later this year!

Hilton Cricket Club   June or July 2009 Date TBC
Think this might be an outdoor performance - wouldn't want to miss the match now would we!

    Glooston Music Festival - 5 September 2009

There are six bands playing and we're one of them. Last years fest had good reports on the Talkawhile website and the organisers are trying to evoke the feel of early seventies festivals. We'll be sharing the stage with Howard Smith and the Razors, Something Nasty in the Woodshed, Govannen and last years Radio 2 Folk Awards finalist Lucy Ward. Tickets are expected to sell out quite quickly so you'd be advised not to wait too long, so get on the phone to 07751 620643 to book yours now.

ShamelessQuo's Annual Christmas Party, venue to be decided, Derby      December 2009 (TBC)
It's a long running tradition of ours to play a gig at Christmas on home turf. Every year it gets a little bit bigger, a little bit grander and some years the pub doesn't run out of beer!!!

Duffield Carnival, Derbyshire   June 2009 Date TBC
Great gig last year with a possible repeat performance at next years event

  HIGHLIGHTS OF 2006

Live session on Radio Derby  15 September 2006
This was a great way to start a weekend and was a lot of fun to do. The staff were impressed enough with our versions of Rockin' All Over the World , Down Down, Break the Rules and Caroline to suggest having us back on a regular basis. Part 1 of the broadcast is now available here for you to download and listen to and parts two and three will follow very soon

Last years festival was a very special one for us as it was an almost lifelong ambition to play there. We had a great reception from a great audience and can't thank Fairport enough for including us in such a fantastic lineup of bands. Also thanks for all the kind comments ( even from some that 'don't like Quo'!) There are some reviews of our performance here and there are some photos in our gallery with more to be added soon. For general information on the event and a few more festival photos go to www.fairportconvention.com

Pat Sparks
Our resident lighting engineer will soon be providing some of his views, as well as some technical information, on lighting for the definitive Quo experience. Pat is such an important part of our show he is officially the sixth member of the Shameless Quo team, so keep your browsers aimed in this direction for the definitive guide to successful, safe, gig lighting . . . if he ever gets around to writing it that is (are you listening Pat?)
