Style White uPVC Conservatory

The
base & dwarf wall built with the Conservatory cills in place.
We always start at one end & work our way to the middle, this
makes it easier to align the frames.
|
End
of day one & it is almost dark. We need to connect all the
frames together before we finish to make them sturdy enough to
withstand any overnight gales.

Day
2 & we install a specifically designed & made Box Gutter
which will take any water from either the roof or the wall into
the uPVC gutter that will run around the Conservatory.
|
All
frames installed & on with the roof. It takes time to make
sure that all the roof spars are in their correct place. All our
roofs are pre-erected at the factory before they are shipped.

Bearing
in mind that this Conservatory was erected in February & although
we had mostly dry weather , it was extremely cold. Hence the Bob
hat. Most of the glass installed, (we left two panels out so that
we could climb up on the roof easier), ready to put the finishing
touches to the roof. Lead Flashing from the original house walls
onto the roof on the Conservatory was on the agenda.
|
A
view looking up from the inside showing what the Tie Bars that
we had to install look like. With this Conservatory being so big
& a roof of glass, we had to install these Tie Bars. These
hold the sides & the roof of the Conservatory together. With
roofs of this nature, it is usual for the weight of the glass
to push the Conservatory sides outwards which results in a collapse
of the whole structure.

Here
is a view from the end of the Conservatory which was over 9 metres
long & 3,5 metres wide.

This
is another view of the Conservatory from the adjacent corner of
the garden which shows off the Finial on the top of the roof.
