This
was one of the windows that had to be replaced in this project.
As you can see there is Stained glass in both top & bottom
lights. All of this glass was carefully removed & temporary
glass was installed while the repairs took place. There were
three windows the same as this one. To see pictures of the stained
glass click here.

An
arched window is always a worry when it is has to be removed
as you have no idea how the arch is constructed. When we removed
this frame it was like an operation, done very carefully. The
arch was still intact with the old frame removed & we are
now checking the measurements. to see the Stained Glass click

This
is the Bay that was below the Arched window in the picture above.
It had it's own roof which was supported by a large timber framework,
so there was no support needed. However, there was quite a lot
of re-plastering to do internally as the ceiling laths were
nailed to the top of the old frame & it did cause some internal
damage.
|
The
two frames installed on the left hand side of the house. The
top window was rendered in to match the original house rendering
& then painted. The customer did not have to call in exterior
decorators to finish off the installations, Clayton Carpentry
will do all of this work & customers are asked if they would
like exterior decorations completed.
