Gohan!!

Gohan is Goku and Chi Chi's first born son.  His power is realized at a very young age by Piccolo after destroying Raditz's space pod and delivering a Hfil of a flying head but, taking his 'uncle' down for the count.  After Goku's death, he is taken by Piccolo into the wilderness where his hidden power is discovered.  He was not much help in the fight for the earth against the Saiyans and feels partly responsible for the resulting deaths of Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, and Chou-su.  Because of this, he eagerly volunteers to go to Namek with Bulma and Krillen to retrieve the Dragonballs.  During this time he becomes firm friends with Krillen, the two make a strong team and overcome a lot together.  If there is one way to make Gohan mad it's to either insult his dad or hurt his friends.  When his friends are in trouble, he shows unbelievable strength and fighting ability.  At first, he is a normal child and very frightened and venerable.  Later, he learns to overcome his fears and shows unbelievable courage and bravery.  He greatly resembles his dad.  Later on, he dresses like Piccolo rather than in the orange gi most of the other fighters wear.  He is very brainy, although this might have something to do with the amount of studying Chi Chi forces him to do.  Later on in Dragonball Z, Gohan attends Orange Star High school.   He disguises himself as the Great 'Saiyan-man' (a kind of Dragonball version of Superman).  He fights crime as well as fighting earth threatening forces.  He later marries his wife Videl and they have a daughter called Pan.

Gohan is very sweet and loyal and doesn't really like fighting much, unlike his dad and for that matter the rest of his race.  When Vegeta and Nappa first attack earth, he doesn't want to be trained by Piccolo because he doesn't want to be a fighter, he wants to be a scholar (hmm, I wonder which parent has the most influence over him at this age), but later he decides he doesn't want to knuckle down to study, he just "wants to be come stronger so I can help people like my dad".  He turns SSJ level 1 while being trained by Goku in the room of "spirit and time" where they train for a year (or a day in every one else's time).  Gohan is shocked when his dad tells him he wants Gohan to become stronger than he is, but for a short time during the Cell saga, he does.  When they leave the room, Gohan is 11 years old, but even at this age he is able to defeat Cel by turning SSJ level 2 after the death of android #16.  Gohan only ever gets to Super-Saiya-jin level 2, but he is still a great fighter, and in time, even Chi Chi approves and is proud of him, not just for his academic achievements, but for his strength, power and skill in battle, she even tells Goku to make sure Gohan trains well and becomes very strong to defeat the androids-wow, that, I NEVER thought I would hear!!

He later marries Videl, the daughter of Mr.Satan (Hercule), the man who was given sole credit for Cell's defeat and saving the earth (only the Z fighters know it was actually the 11 year old Gohan who saved the worlds butt).  Together they have a daughter named Pan who is 1/4 Saiyan.
