To my "friends"

I think I mentioned something along the same lines in a previous editorial, but this time I'm going into more detail.  The people this editorial is aimed at probably wont ever read this because that is the kind of supportive *sarcasm* friends they are.

I'm sure all webmasters encounter people who don't like their site or don't like the subject of their site, but I know of 2, myself included, people who get nothing but total and utter sh- (-uh-guess the next word) from so called friends. All of my friends have websites, they cover all things from DBZ, to KoRn, to Blur, they have info, art, humor and between the lot of us we probably have everything we would usually want to look at on the net.  So why is it that in this group of sites, the only one that is seen as inferior and sad is this?  The DBZ one?!  I've worked hard on this site all on my lonesome for over a year now, and I still have friends who's only comment about it is "what a s**t site" "Dragonball is s**t" "what's the point in having a dragonball site?" "Why are you so sad?"  Well, guess what guys...IM SICK OF IT!!  I put a lot of work into this site in my spare time, I'm not gonna be modest as far as certain people are concerned any more.  This site is bigger, gets more hits, has more and better content and is more popular and entertaining than most of the others in the 'crew', so screw you.  I don't care if you have a problem with DBZ,  but I do care when you constantly pass your opinion onto me and insult my work whilst doing it!!  My best friend CJ has the same problem with her site.  She's a music nutter and she loves Blur and Damon Albarn the same way as I love DBZ.  She works hard on her site and does a great job.  But instead of congratulating her on a job well done, her site is either totally ignored my the crew or insulted because "its crap" and "blur are crap".  I'm not fussed on Blur, but being in the same situation with the same non supportive friends we usually just moan to each other.  She doesn't like (I tell a lie, I'm pretty sure she hates) DBZ, but she visits my site whenever she can, if I've done something new she'll comment on it, whether its constructive criticism or a congratulations.  And where ever possible I do the same for her.

I don't have a problem with visitors who come here and voice an opinion, even if that opinion is that this site sux.  I DO have a problem when I'm in school, checking my updates and looking for broken links etc, when one of my friends sticks their head over my shoulder and tells me "that's F****d  up" or "that's s**t".  Language and all!

So, to those to whom this may concern, if all you can do is tell me how s**T my site is every time you see it without even taking the time to look at it or read my work, then your opinion is worthless to me.  If you choose not to support me in my interests and hobbies then you are worse friends than I thought.
