In the centre high moorland, granite tors, dotted with villages each with their own church.
Along the coast, wooded river valleys, natural harbours, a maritime history, fishing villages, bustling market towns, surf beaches, a rich mining heritage, and a mild climate too.
In the far West of Cornwall is Lands End, buffeted by Atlantic gales in winter,
with views to the Scillies Isles on a clear day.
Inland the country contains many prehistoric remains- standing stones, and megaliths.
Mining houses perched precariously on the Cliff sides,
workings sometimes extending far out under the sea.

Cornwall Fishing Villages and Atlantic Coast
Towns like St Ives with narrow streets and a magnificent harbour. Romantic St Michael's Mount. Along the more sheltered Cornwall South Coast are yet more fishing villages, white washed cottages, on whose doorsteps cat sunbathe in summer. The rugged Atlantic Coastline, great for long distance walking. Spring comes early to Cornwall. The Gardens of Great Houses are filled with camellias. Wildflowers blanket the Cornish clifftops. In Autumn the sea is at its warmest and the Ancient Oak woodlands lining the Estuaries slopes a blaze of gold.
