ABOUT THE LINCOLN CATS PROTECTION GROUP

We are an active group working around the County within a 20 mile radius of Lincoln. Everyone from the co-ordinator to the helpers are volunteers with the sole aim of helping the maximum number of cats that we can in our area. Every pound that we raise goes to that aim. Last year we raised enough to pay vet bills of £12,000, food bills of £5,000 and a further £1,000 on ancillary items, so you can see that we do not take our love of cats lightly. The 800 cats that we helped in some way in that period shows just how big the problem is.

We are not blinkered when it comes to that help and we tend to take each case on its merit and, of course, on our resources at that time. Many people see us as just rescuing and rehoming cats. This of course is true, but it is the tip of a huge iceberg and we are concerned with any aspect of cat welfare. Sadly, as with most charities, we fight a constant uphill battle to raise the funds needed to carry out our work. we have, however, as well as the ongoing fund raising events, a membership scheme and a sponsorship scheme. these both bolster the kitty.
