LINCOLN CATS PROTECTION

Remembering The Lincoln Cats Protection in Your Will

Registered Charity Number: 203644

Securing your cats future

Worries over the fate of your cat should not deter you from enjoying their company, nor should financial concerns for their upkeep at that time. We at the Cats Protection will ensure that your pet has a happy and contented life. We will find a home to match the life style that it enjoyed with you. This is in no way conditional on financial benefits as our prime concern is the welfare of the cat. There is no obligation to leave bequests to our group. If your worry for the future of a cat is stopping you from sharing your life with one then please ring us and let a cat give you the love and companionship that only they can.

To Remember us in Your Will

As you probably already know we make no charges for cats that we home, and all the money we raise or are left by cat lovers goes where we all wish it - on the cats! If you would like to consider leaving a bequest to us there are various ways to do this. This page is designed as a guide to help. The Will has to be made to Horsham as that is the registered address of the charity.

For a Fixed Sum Legacy

This is if you wish to leave a certain sum. A guide to the format for this is as follows:

I give the Cats Protection of 17, Kings Road, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 5PN the sum of £........ to be applied for the benefit of the LINCOLN branch and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for the same.

For the Residue

This is for leaving unspecified amounts after bequests:

I give all the residue of my estate both real and personal to the Cats Protection of 17, Kings Road, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 5PN absolutely to be applied for the benefit of the LINCOLN branch, and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Officer or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for the same.

Of course a solicitor can advise you on other variations that you may prefer, this is intended as a guide.

You may like to also consider stating your wishes regarding your cats future in your will, as this may well save stress on the cat.
