Standing here

Bubs in Vancouver, Canada:
This was the first song I ever heard by the Roses. I remember picking it off the shelf at Future Shop's record section and asking to listen to it(The Complete Stone Roses)after hearing an interveiw with Noel Gallagher stating them as a big influence to Oasis...after skipping through most of the cd impatiently I came upon that brilliant intro; the screeching guitars, the drums, that wonderful rhythme...it covered such a sad topic with such bliss and has cheered me up countless time since when Ive been down and introduced me to the best band that has ever graced this earth...pure magic!

Daniel Gilson in Horrible Luton, UK:
Beautiful. Really touching.

Holly in the Borders, Scotland:
Cos its brilliant, but then.. they all are.

Sally Cinnamon in Manchester, England:
It's well written it has amazing substance and real depth....It's beautiful and yet it still rocks...The Roses finest.

Rob Webley in Durham, England:
Just cos it can make a sad man happy.

Mike Robinson in East Yorkshire, England:
It reminds me of the best time of my life, summer '89, and that first flourish of love. A monumental tune with stellar guitar work by La Squire.

D in California, USA:
Fab lyrics, great tune.

Mat Rae in Aberdeen. Scotland:
Its just the best song I've ever heard. Its so sweet.

Sean McLean in Oshawa, Canada:
The line 'I really don't think you could know I'm in heaven when you smile'.

Janice in California, USA:
It's a soundtrack for unrequited love. Which we've all gone through hoping someday they might notice us watching them smile.

Grant McGillin in Aberdeen, Scotland:
Every song by the Roses is sound, but I think this is one of the most touching songs ever. Especially the final 2 minutes where he sings, "I should be safe for ever in your arms". Magic.

Moorsy Geez in Lincoln, England: Through the melodic section at the end with the descending bass notes on A and B chords, with Ian's melodic vocals adding the perfect accompaniment.

Neil in Edinburgh, Scotland:
It's intricate guitar work, great drumming, and hushed dewy eyed vocals.
