(SONG FOR MY) SUGAR SPUN SISTER
| Brian Corr in Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland: The Roses took music away from all that sythesized rubbish that was on the go. Apart from a few groups like the Smiths music was quite poor. I had the fortune to get into the Roses in 1988. I also had the fortune of seeing them at Glasgow Green. Only getting the tickets the day before, when my friend was in Glasgow trying to obtain Charlatans tickets the guy behind the desk said " No Charlatans Tix but we have got 6 Roses tix back from the Promoters. Would you like some ? " I recieved a phone call after work from my mate. And that was that. I was on the next train to Glasgow for one of the best weekends of my life. Seeing the Roses at their peak. Also said by them to be their fav gig. If you get a chance go and see the Complete Stone Roses for a great night of nostalgia.
