(SONG FOR MY) SUGAR SPUN SISTER

Brian Corr in Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland:
The Roses took music away from all that sythesized rubbish that was on the go. Apart from a few groups like the Smiths music was quite poor. I had the fortune to get into the Roses in 1988. I also had the fortune of seeing them at Glasgow Green. Only getting the tickets the day before, when my friend was in Glasgow trying to obtain Charlatans tickets the guy behind the desk said " No Charlatans Tix but we have got 6 Roses tix back from the Promoters. Would you like some ? "
I recieved a phone call after work from my mate. And that was that. I was on the next train to Glasgow for one of the best weekends of my life. Seeing the Roses at their peak. Also said by them to be their fav gig. If you get a chance go and see the Complete Stone Roses for a great night of nostalgia.

Amanda Cummins in Suderland, UK:
I really love it because it's really catchy and I love the song words and music!

Tony Delesdernier in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA:
It is a song that holds much deeply and my band covers it.

Henry Hughes in Dublin, Ireland:
Because of the amazing key changes in the chorus, and the chorus lyrics, every member of parliament trips on glue.

Ed in Derby, England:
Before Squire started doing over the top twiddlings he did beautiful simple songs like this one. It's so catchy and perfectly hummable and its the only Roses song I actually bothered to work the whole tab out because I couldn't find a good one.

Kid Loco in Huddersfield, England:
I just like it. It seems, how to say, happy-go-lucky.

Drew in Harrisburg, PA, USA:
I too have had a sugar spun sister...I can relate.

Mitchell in San Diego, CA. USA:
I love the begining of the songs lyrics. "Until the sky turns green and the grass is several shades of blue, ever member of parliment trips on glue."

Fat Bob in Leeds, England:
Just like it alot - nice lyrics - nice melody.

Meritta in Orlando Florida, USA
It's such a sublime sexy thing.

Tom Browne in Dublin, Ireland:
Every member of parliment trips on glue.

Gunnar Gabrielsen location: Oslo, Norway:
Everything about this song is just wonderful. The lyrics, the melodie, the vocals... But then, all of the songs from The Stone Roses album are outrageously good!
