• comment on development plans (including Local Development Frameworks, Regional Spatial Strategies and Sustainability Appraisals)
• assist with appeals and inquiries
• comment on national policy initiatives and consultations
• undertake research and studies into land-use and spatial planning topics
• provide training in the town and country planning system for staff and volunteers.
