Temporary Roof

This page is dedicated to the Temporary roof as it deserves it's own section.

A temporary roof is a scaffolded structure designed to contain the whole structure.

This enables work to continue in any weather and enables the roof to be removed.

The first few pictures detail the construction of the frame itself.

With the frame constructed then it can be covered by the special covering material which slots together.
One of the biggest worries was the wind.  If the wind can get it it could lift off like a big kite.  The only opening is this one in the corner.
This structure offers additional support.
Parts of the scaffolding have been fixed to the floor.
At the lower level oil drums have been filled with water to steady the structure..
It is also attached to a tree.
The finished structure from the front
And the rear.

Not the most attractive structure in the world but at least the house should look less imposing when it is removed.
