Metalwork Grid for the Cushman Floor
|
|---|

The dimensions are listed below left and are
due to the design of a type of welded
queen excluder grid that is manufactured by
B.J. Engineering. Who
should be contacted if you wish to purchase the metalwork.
Tolerances
Tie rod length + 0.5 mm - 0.00 mm
Folded section length + 0.5 mm - 0.00 mm
Providing that the width of the set of folded sections is 417 mm +
1.00 mm - 0.00 mm
the tolerance for the individual 3 mm gaps is
+ 0.2 mm - 0.3 mm.
However tolerances must not accrue in a
cumulative
manner. I have assumed that the jig will incorporate pegs or spacer
strips to give consistency. Also any increase on 417 mm for the pack
width must be subtracted equally from the 12 mm protrusion of the
tie rods.
The 20 mm height can have a tolerance of + 0.5mm - 0.5
mm
and the 16.1 mm section width will vary due to tolerances on
the gaps between the strips however the pitch should be maintained at
19.1 mm + 0.3 mm - 0.2 mm
The spot weld tabs are shown in the small sketch at left and
are 1.5 mm long.
