The white panel below is a facsimile of the leaflet produced by the manufacturers, although written in English, some of the translation is poor, I have left spelling and grammar exactly as the original and have made comments and my ideas of what it should say in green text.

Although this product is available with a price tag that is less than the Apistan strips available in USA and Europe, it cannot be considered equivalent... The dose is different and it is thought that the release mechanism or release rate may be different.

[SHAPE AND PROPERTIES]

This plastic strip is the Cartier, carrier loaded with light yellow coating whose surface is of granular powder.

[USE IN] It has been ratified by many countries and is the exclusive medicine for the prevention and control of varroas.

[MECHANISM]

It is made from Fluvalinate, another name Mavrik. A kind of contact and eating insecticides with no volatility. It shows it's killing effect when touched and conveyed by the bees to the big or small varroa. The varroas will be poisened, weakened and killed, finally fall down. There should be enough time for the whole process. It takes effect after hour's hanging. The time of using the medicine should last for 21-28 days in no-larvae period. More difficult in larvae exiting period and the time should be prolonged. The medicine is efficacious within 60 days.

[USAGE]

I. Trial is required. Chose 2 or 3 colonies for trial before Appling to the whole yard. Make a plan fit for situation.

II. Dosage: One piece for 4-comb hive, hang in the main bee path, keep it off the hives. Two pieces for 5-8 comb hive hang one piece between the third and the fourth comb one piece between the sixth and the seventh in a diagonal line. More or fewer for 10 combs or less.

III. Medicine-applying time: Any time in a year. The best time is before spring reproduction and after autumn honey harvest. The effect is most obvious in no-larvae period. If in the larvae exiting period, prolong the time to 6-8 weeks for most of the female varroas are in the honeycomb.

IV. Determine the medicine applying time according to the yard situation.

[WARNING]

I. Don't neglect to choose 2-3 bee colonies for trial before applying the medicine.

II. Be more careful during the operationtime. Analyze abnormal cases in time and regulate the time and regulate the time and dosege.

III. Don't apply the medicine on the bees in a situation of a low temperature and honey-deficiency.

IV. Don't apply the medicine when just settle down or transfer bee hives.

V. Hang the medicine in a fine morning for convenient observation and regulation.

VI. Don't dispose waste medicine in mulberry fields and ponds.
