KILMUIR IN THE BLACK ISLE OF SCOTLAND

Photo copyright © 2001 David Greenhalgh

This picture shows the cluster of houses that make up the nucleus of Kilmuir. Ord Hill stands behinds the village and the Moray Firth is on the left. In the far left of the picture about half way up you can just make out the span of the Kessock Bridge which carries the A9 across the water. The village of North Kessock lies just the other side of the bridge on the same bank as Kilmuir and opposite Inverness on the far bank. North Kessock is a short walk from here but there is no road for vehicles.
