RESOLIS PARISH





CULLICUDDEN OLD BURIAL GROUND

View looking north over the Cromarty Firth.
The site lies at the end of a dirt track. On the far side of the firth is Kiltearn/Evanton and Alness. The long jetty is that of Highland Deepwater Estate.





RESOLIS CHURCH

It was the induction of a new minister into this church at the time of the Disruption that was the occasion for a riot which in turn gave rise to unrest in Cromarty and the forcible release of a prisoner from the jail.




KIRKMICHAEL BURIAL GROUND

This view is looking across Udale bay, down the firth towards Cromarty and the Sutors. Beyond the Sutors, which can just be seen in the distance, lies the open sea (North Sea). Cromarty is on the right and Invergordon, Nigg, and Easter Ross on the left, although the last three are hidden behind what remains of the building.
