Who has the Knowledge?
Founded in 1882 By a few dedicated beekeepers
who??
with the view of bringing together all those who were interested in
the ancient craft of beekeeping.
Rutland added when 1967??? decline of Rutland membership???
Various sites in and around the Brooksby campus have been
used between 197? and the present day.
We moved to our current site 1995??? 1996??? having spent
several years in a disused pig farm. Originally the building was a
somewhat dilapidated cattle shelter. A dedicated band of enthusiasts
set to in order to tidy up and improve this until we have the present day
workshop and lecture facilities with the bee yard and the mating
apiary on either side of the main building. The whole complex being
surrounded by a bee garden that is regularly tended and continuously
improved. ((FUTURE page using progressive photos of renovation))
