Bristol in the New Millennium

This Statue, of a tribal chieftain, was once the figure head of the sailing vessel "Demerara", which was irreparably grounded on its maiden voyage in the 19^th century. Initially salvaged and mounted on the front of Demerara House, which stood on the site of what is now Sun-Alliance House (formerly Electricity House) in the City Centre, it was moved to the frontage of the "Horn and Trumpet" public house, by the Hippodrome.
