At last weekend's contest at Pontins, Carlton Brass produced the best performance of any band there. In the bar! Most members of Nottingham's friendliest band (not me cos I'm boring...) dressed in doctors and nurses outfits, and ponced about on the dance floor like a load of escaped mental institute inmates. It was brilliant. Funniest doctor of the day way Big Sime, who only requires a small intake of alcohol to be the funniest man on earth. Closely following Sime in the amusement stakes was Ray (Bald Eagle) who kept trying to inject young ladies with his huge instrument! Top marks though goes to all the young ladies that dressed up in those rather sexy-looking nurses outfits with stockings and suspenders. Somebody please publish the pictures (just don't show the wife!) A great time was had by all. It's just a shame we only came seventh, but by the tea-time on saturday we just didn't care! |
